Newburyport is hosting its 1st annual Pumpkin Lighting And Stroll Saturday, October 22 from 6-9 PM. You are encouraged to bring a carved pumpkin to Market Square where they will be lighted and on display until 9 pm. Don’t forget to stroll around town to see the pumpkins of participating businesses!

Witches Night Out!!

Calling all goblins, witches and warlocks for a “spooktacular” event in downtown Newburyport, the Tannery and Horton’s Yard. Join us and other participating businesses for Witches Night Out!

Friday, October 21, 2011
6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Enjoy light refreshments while you shop our great deals. We’ll be dressed in costumes and encourage you to dress as a witch or warlock to add to the festivities.

We will also be offering a reverse trick or treat to benefit Pennies for Poverty: 2 Cents for Change.

A Costume Contest will be held at 8:00 PM at a location to be announced. Two categories – Best Witch Costume and Best Costume Overall – winners will be awarded $50 Newburyport Gift Certificates!

Due to hurricane Irene, we are closing at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and moving Sat. Aug. 27 instead of Sun. We plan to open as soon as possible Labor Day weekend. Look for us at our new location across from Not Your Average Joe’s restaurant: 1 Merrimac Street #3

Things are changing at The Port Candle in September!

On Sunday, August 28, 2011, we are moving from our current location on Inn Street in Newburyport, MA. We will be opening at our new location in early September.

Our new “home” is in Merrimac Landing, across the street from Not Your Average Joe’s restaurant:
