J. Winfield Currie grew up on a small working dairy farm in the southeastern part of Massachusetts. She is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and has taught art, worked in graphic design, paints fantasy watercolors, spent many years in retail hardware — and writes.

Spring Invitation Night, held Friday May 7 and May 14, was a great time for all participants. The store stayed open until 9 p.m. and served cheese and crackers, cookies, and brownies. Customers especially enjoyed the Baileys Irish Cream served on the rocks.
